On the 30th Anniversary of the release of Slam, Universal Music surprised us with the release of Remastered versions of the first two Dan Reed Network albums.
Both were remastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios in London.
The band were not directly involved in the releases.
Unlike many other deluxe edition or remastered albums by other bands, these releases were strictly the album tracks, and there was no bonus material or B-sides as part of the package.
The artwork is identical in every way to the original artwork, other than a mention of the remaster by Miles Showell; the catalog numbers; and, on the double vinyl albums, the tracklisting, and disc labels.
Dan Reed offered a small number of CDs and Double Vinyl albums for sale directly from him to the Facebook Networkers group. He signed and numbered them.
The albums were not officially released in the US – only in the UK, and Germany.
